About Strawberries Australia

The purpose for Strawberries Australia is to develop a strong professional strawberry industry within and for the benefit of Australia and all Australian Strawberry Growers.

We work closely with Horticulture Australia Ltd (HAL) for the management, collection and expenditure of the statutory industry levy.  This levy money is collected for the national strawberry industry Research and Development for the benefit of all commercial strawberry growers.

Horticulture Australia and Strawberries Australia have a good working relationship where funding is received to enable further activities such as travel to industry meetings, Annual Levy Payers Meetings, industry conference arrangements, funding of the CEO (who implements the finalized strategy and policy of the Strawberries Australia Board and represents the Boards interests in appropriate forums).  A newsletter, “Wild About Strawberries” is produced and circulated to all Australian commercial strawberry growers as a means of communicating R&D project results and other industry related matters.
